Who Can Apply

Dartmouth College, the ISTS, and the GenCyber Program know that the best learning happens in a classroom filled with multiple perspectives and experiences. Thus, we are looking for the most diverse applicant pool possible.

Introductory Program

  • Computer science experience is not required for the introductory program. We are looking for students who are interested and passionate.

  • Per GenCyber regulations, program participants must be United States Citizens and be enrolled in a United States high school or be home-schooled.

  • Our introductory program is open to rising high school 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.

Advanced Program

  • The advanced program expands from the base that was laid by the introductory course.

  • We are looking for students with a solid understanding of basic cybersecurity concepts who want to increase their knowledge.

  • This program is open to rising 10th graders through rising college freshman.

Application Requirements

Students interested in either GenCyber Program (Introductory or Advanced) must complete an application and submit a completed teacher recommendation. 

Application Form

The 2019 application deadline was April 15th.
The 2020 program application will be available once grant funding for the program is secured. Please check back in mid-February.

Teacher Recommendation
